- For U.S. participants: If your trip to India is being paid for
by a contract or a grant, then you should check if you are required to
fly with an American airline (this is generally the case). Exceptions
can be applied for in advance (for destinations that are not served by US
airlines, or when no seats are available on US airlines). The only
US airlines that serve India are United (Delhi) and Delta (Delhi and
Bombay). While you can book your ticket with your travel agent, or directly
with the airline, you can often get a better rate by using travel agents
